FDM Standard Thermoplastics

Below is a list of FDM Standard Thermoplastics
ASA

//Your go-to FDM thermoplastic in 10 colors.

ASA is a production-grade thermoplastic that works beautifully with FDM Technology. Available in 10 fade-resistant colors, ASA combines mechanical strength and UV stability with the best part aesthetics FDM technology has to offer. Build enduring prototypes to test fit, form and function – or produce practical production parts for outdoor use. From electrical housings and brackets to sporting goods and automotive prototypes, ASA will give your designs a place in the sun.

ASA works with soluble support materials for easy, hands-free removal and is available in red, orange, yellow, green, dark blue, white, dark gray, light gray, ivory and black.

ABS-ESD7 (composite)

//Build static-dissipative 3D printed parts.

ABS-ESD7 is a composite* material that lets electronics manufacturers expand the use of 3D printing onto the assembly line. Static dissipation also makes the material ideal for applications in the presence of powders, dust and mist that might otherwise be attracted to a plastic part.

ABS-ESD7 standard FDM thermoplastic is available in black and works with soluble support technology, so support removal is hands-free and complex parts require no extra effort.

*A composite is a material made from two or more different materials that, when combined, are stronger than those individual materials by themselves.

ABS-M30i

//3D print biocompatible, sterilizable parts.

ABS-M30i works with FDM Technology to build functional prototypes, tooling and production parts that can be gamma or EtO sterilized. This engineering thermoplastic has good mechanical strength and complies with ISO 10993 and USP Class VI.

ABS-M30i is available in ivory and works with soluble support so support removal is efficient and hands-free.

FDM HIPS

//Low-cost, general-use thermoplastic with high impact resistance.

FDM HIPS, a Validated FDM thermoplastic, offers a low-cost option for general low-requirement 3D printing applications. The material’s low unit cost makes it a good choice for prototyping applications where multiple iterations are desired to refine design concepts. Other applications include jigs, fixtures, assembly aids, and inspection tools not subjected to high loading. These lower-strength 3D printed tools can be made much faster and less expensive than a molded or machined alternative.
