PolyJet is known for producing incredibly detailed, full-color parts, but a lot of users aren’t getting the most out of it. Not because the capability isn’t there, but because working with color, textures, and logos can feel more complicated than it should be. That’s exactly what this workshop is designed to fix.
Join us at our St. Paul TekCenter for a practical, hands-on session focused on simplifying the workflow and helping you confidently apply color to your PolyJet parts.
We’re excited to welcome Christian Klein, PolyJet Customer Trainer at Stratasys, who will walk through approachable, real-world methods using tools you may already have.
What to Expect
Part 1: Understanding the Workflow
We’ll break down how color and texture data actually fits into the PolyJet process, including:
- Where things typically go wrong (and how to avoid it)
- Why color data sometimes gets lost during file prep
- The differences between CAD-based and mesh-based workflows
- How to choose the right approach based on your application
Part 2: Hands-On Demonstration (Optional)
Bring your laptop if you’d like to follow along, or simply watch and learn.
We’ll walk through a straightforward workflow using Blender, a free and widely accessible tool (download it here), to:
- Add logos and textures to parts
- Properly prepare files for PolyJet color printing
- Build confidence working with mesh-based color data

Christian Klein is a Customer Trainer at Stratasys specializing in PolyJet technology. He blends his experience as a former physics, astronomy and engineering teacher with a genuine joy of learning to help make complex ideas clear, engaging, and practical.
