Seuffer, a leading manufacturer of parts for the automotive and household appliances industries, uses PolyJet technology to create complex tools for injection molding, resulting in a dramatic reduction in development leads times and a significant amount of savings in tool development.

Minimizer, a manufacturer of plastic truck parts, uses black ULTEM to 3D print prototypes of semi-truck fenders. Due to the material’s high tensile strength and rigidness, they can mount these prototypes onto semi-trucks and take them out on the road for testing. 

When outside vendors were causing ScanMed extra expense and long delays in getting their product to market, they took it upon it themselves to create parts internally using FDM technology.  Not only did they save on time, but they also experienced a 60% cost savings when compared to CNC machining an aluminum pattern.

Genesis Systems Group worked with Stratasys to create an FDM end of arm gripper that was durable enough to pick up a carbon fiber part and hold onto it while being cut with a waterjet. In doing so, they experienced a total time savings of 85% and cost savings of 94%.
